[ARCHIVED] Update - Aggravated Battery Firearm Investigation

On 09-03-18 at 12:25 a.m. Carbondale Police Officers responded to an apartment complex in the 800 block of East Grand Avenue for a report of a gunshot victim.  The suspects were described as two black males in their early twenties. One suspect was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants and the other suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans. During the course of the investigation, officers located video images of two suspects in reference to this incident which are seen below.  Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Police Department at (618) 457-3200 or Crime Stopper at (618) 549-COPS (2677).

Prior Release on 09-03-2018 -  Aggravated Battery- Firearm Investigation

On 09-03-18 at 0025 hours Carbondale Police Officers responded to an apartment complex in the 800 block of E. Grand Ave. for a report of a gunshot victim. Officers arrived and located the victim, who was still on scene. The victim sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported by ambulance to the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. The victim’s name is not being released at this time. The suspects were described as two black males in their early twenties. One suspect was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants and the other suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans. The SIU Police Department assisted on this call.
