Carbondale - As a result of an ongoing investigation into illegal firearms, Carbondale Police detectives applied for and received arrest warrants for Jakobi N. Shered, 19 of Carbondale, and Chonta T. Stidhum, 20 of Carbondale for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Detectives obtained a search warrant for a property associated with the men in the 300 block of South Oakland Avenue. During the execution of the search warrant on 04/28/23, officers and detectives located and arrested Shered and Stidhum on the warrants. They also recovered firearms from the residence. Shered and Stidhum were incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail on the arrest warrants. The investigation is active and ongoing.
