On 01-16-2023 at 10:48 a.m., Carbondale police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 300 block of East Chestnut Street. During the course of the investigation, officers learned the suspect, Jessica Williams, 33 of Carbondale, fired a shot inside a residence during a domestic dispute with the victim. No one was injured as a result of the shot being fired. There was property damage. Officers arrested Williams, 33 of Carbondale, and charged her with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm. Williams was incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail. The investigation is active and ongoing.
