CARBONDALE – On 09/18/22 at 12:40 a.m., officers of the City of Carbondale Police Department responded to the 300 block of South Illinois Avenue in reference to a report of a robbery. Officers learned at about 12:28 a.m. the victim was inside a business when approached by the suspect who is pictured below. The suspect grabbed property that was in the possession of the victim. A struggle over the property ensued, casing the victim to fall to the ground. The suspect then and ran out of the back door of the business. The suspect was last seen northbound on South Illinois Avenue riding a white bicycle. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The investigation into the incident is active and ongoing.
