[ARCHIVED] Criminal Damage to Property Investigation

On 08-23-22 at approximately 8:30 a.m., City of Carbondale Police Department police officers responded to a report of damage to property (graffiti) in the 200 block of North Oakland Street.  During the course of the investigation, officers found additional graffiti on buildings in the 800 block of West High Street and the 200 block of North Springer Street.  Officers identified the suspect as Matthew J Kren, 42 of Carbondale.  Officers located and arrested Kren on 08-25-22.  After conferring with the Jackson County States Attorney’s Office, officers charged Ken with Criminal Damage to Property. Kren is incarcerated in the Jackson County jail.  The investigation into the incident is continuing.
