[ARCHIVED] Update – Theft Investigation

On 08/12/22 at approximately 11:37 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of South Glenview Street in reference to a report of a theft that was captured on a surveillance camera.   On 08-19-22 officers located the bench and arrested Shane H. Pfister, age 58 of Carbondale, for the theft.  Officers issued Pfister a notice to appear in court for Theft and released him.   The bench was returned to the owner.  The Police Department would like to thank the community for your assistance with the investigation of this incident.       

 Prior Release on 08-16-22:

The City of Carbondale Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a Theft captured on a surveillance camera.  On 08/12/22 at approximately 11:37 a.m., two suspects came on to the yard of a residence in the 300 block of Glenview.  One suspect stole property from the porch and left with the other suspect heading eastbound across South Glenview Drive.  The suspect, pictured below, is described as a heavyset white male with long blond or brown hair in a ponytail, wearing a baseball style cap, glasses, a black graphic t-shirt and jean shorts.   The investigation is active and ongoing.
