[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm Investigation

On 7/04/22 at approximately 3:51 p.m., officers of the City of Carbondale Police Department received a report of a male firing several shots into the air in the 1100 block of East Grand Avenue. Officers collected a video image of the suspect and identified him as Joshua A. Broderick, age 33 of Carbondale.  Officers located and arrested Broderick without incident for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Unlawful Use of Weapons.  After conferring with the Jackson County States Attorney’s Office, Broderick was released pending a court appearance.  No injuries or property damage were reported as a result of the incident.   The investigation into the incident continues.
