[ARCHIVED] Missing Person Update

City of Carbondale police officers continued the investigation into the whereabouts of missing person Ashley Curtis, who was reported as missing on 05-03-22.  In the course of that investigation, officers located a deceased female at a residence in the 400 block of East College Street on 05-09-22 that investigators confirmed to be Ashley Curtis.  The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office are assisting with the investigation. The investigation is active and ongoing.

The City of Carbondale Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing adult. Ashley Dawn Curtis, age 39, was last seen on 05-01-22 in the 400 block of East College Street.  Curtis is described as being about 5’05” tall, weighing about 210 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.  Curtis was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.  Curtis also has a large scar under her right eye.  The investigation is currently active.  Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Curtis should contact the Carbondale Police Department at 618-457-3200.
