[ARCHIVED] Update: Arrests Made in Shooting Investigation

City of Carbondale Police detectives continued the investigation into the shooting incident that occurred on 03-20-22 in the 500 block of East Main Street. In the course of the investigation, detectives identified two people who were involved in the incident. McKenzie A. Timms, 19 of Carbondale and Zoremoreyon J.D. Moore, 18 of Marion. Marion Police officers located and arrested Timms and Moore without incident in Marion. Detectives charged Zoremoreyon Moore with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm. Detectives charged McKenzie Timms with Concealing or Aiding a Fugitive and Resisting or Obstructing a Peace Officer. Moore and Timms are incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail. The investigation is still active and ongoing.  The Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office will review the investigation for possible additional charges.
