On 02-10-22 at 9:26 p.m., City of Carbondale police officers responded to the 200 block of South Hewitt Street in reference to a report of shots fired. Officers determined the suspects had already left the area in an unknown direction of travel. The investigation revealed damage to a residence. No one reported any injuries as a result of the incident. Witnesses reported seeing a light colored vehicle in the area at the time of the incident and then later leaving at a high rate of speed.
