On 12-14-21, Carbondale Police Officers, along with an Arson Investigator from the Carbondale Fire Department, responded to the 800 block of West Mill Street regarding a report of a possible arson. During the course of the investigation, investigators learned on 12-14-2021 approximately 2:00 a.m., Aaron J. Miller, 72 of Carbondale, set a fire near the door of a dwelling causing damage. Investigators arrested Miller and charged him with Aggravated Arson. Miller is incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
