[ARCHIVED] Missing Runaway Recovered

On 10-05-21 City of Carbondale police officers located Kashaad Johnson after he returned to a family member’s home.  He was found to be safe and in good health.  We thank the community for your assistance with this investigation.

Prior Release on 10-04-21:

The City of Carbondale Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing person reported on 10-01-21, Kashaad D Johnson, age 14, of Carbondale.  Kashaad, pictured below, was last seen on 09-29-2021 at about 2:30 p.m. in the 600 block of East Campus Drive in Carbondale.   Kashaad is described as 5’07” tall, weighing 180 pounds, black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a shiny gray jacket.  Kashaad is believed to frequent the Tatum Heights area and the 700 block of South Lewis Lane in Carbondale.  Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Johnson should contact the Carbondale Police Department at 618-457-3200. The investigation is ongoing and active.
