[ARCHIVED] City to Host Public Meeting for New Era Road Reconstruction Project

PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CARBONDALE – The City of Carbondale will host a Public Informational Meeting concerning the New Era Road Reconstruction project on Wednesday, August 25, from 4: 30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Civic Center in Room 103. 

This project will rebuild New Era Road from Glenn Road to Airport Road and consists of new asphalt pavement with dedicated bicycle lanes, driveway aprons, and appurtenances.  

The meeting will be conducted on an informal basis and plans will be on display. City officials and the Design Engineer will be on hand to explain the project and answer questions. Community members are invited to view the plans and provide comments about the project.

Construction on this project is scheduled to begin in Spring 2022.
