On 06/18/21 at approximately 9:30 a.m., City of Carbondale Police Officers responded to a report of a residential burglary in progress in the 800 block of West Walnut Street. Upon arrival, officers found damage to the front door and discovered someone inside of the house. The suspect attempted to flee out the back door, but was quickly arrested by Carbondale police officers. The suspect was identified as Robert Lee Blair, 52 years of age, from Carbondale. Blair was charged with Residential Burglary and incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail.
