On 05-20-21 at 8:44 p.m., City of Carbondale Police Department officers responded to the 500 block of South Beveridge Street regarding reports of shots fired. Officers located an adult female with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment by an acquaintance. The investigation revealed, the suspect fired multiple gunshots and then a silver four door car was seen fleeing the scene. The information learned indicates the incident involves known acquaintances. The investigation into this incident is active and ongoing.
