[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Unlawful Use of Firearm Investigation

 On 04/05/21 at approximately 7:30 p.m., City of Carbondale Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling the wrong way on a one-way street.   During the course of the investigation, officers located an illegal firearm belonging to Aaliyah Lewis-Graham, age 18 of Carbondale, in the vehicle.   Officers arrested Lewis-Graham without incident.  After consulting with the Jackson County States Attorney’s Office, Lewis Graham was charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and released pending court.   Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the police department at 618-457-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 618-549-COPS.  The investigation into the incident is active and ongoing.
