[ARCHIVED] The Laborer's Care Charity Donates $50K to Carbondale Warming Center

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CARBONDALE – Through generous private donations, The Laborer’s Care (TLC) charity raised $50,000 to donate to the Carbondale Warming Center. Because of TLC’s fundraising efforts, the Warming Center will be funded through the end of February! 

“This donation is to help fund the Warming Center through the winter months and also to help ensure they can assist the most vulnerable in our communities deal with the COVID-19 Crisis,” said Jerry Womick, Business Manager Laborers’ Local 773.  

Jerry Womick and Bill Orrill, President of The Laborer’s Care presented the check to Carmalita Cahill, the Warming Center’s Executive Director on Thursday, November 12.
