[ARCHIVED] City Seeks Public Comment on Federal Transit Administration Disadvantage Business Enterprise Goal

Southern Illinois Multimodal Station

As a recipient of Federal Transit Administration grant funds, the City of Carbondale has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program to ensure nondiscrimination in the award and administration of federally funded contracts. On a triennial basis, the City of Carbondale is required to establish a participation goal for disadvantaged business enterprises.

In accordance with these requirements, we have created a DBE Goal for FY 2021-2024 Southern Illinois Multi Modal Station, and the goal is set at 2.4%.  The City of Carbondale is conducting a public meeting to discuss the goal setting process.  A copy of the plan will be available for review at the public meeting and is also available on the City website.

The public is invited to comment on the goal either at the public meeting or via email. The meeting will be held on November 9, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. via Zoom. Please submit comments to ajackson@explorecarbondale.com

Also, please reserve space via email to ajackson@explorecarbondale.com; and a meeting link will be emailed to you.

The City of Carbondale is requesting qualified DBE firms that may be able to supply materials and supplies and or equipment or professional services to contact Alicia Jackson at the above email.
