[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Battery with a Firearm Investigation

On 09-26-2020 at approximately 2:49 a.m., City of Carbondale Police Department officers responded to the 800 block of West High Street in reference to a report of shots fired.  While responding, officers learned two victims with non-life threatening gun shots arrived at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.   During the course of the investigation officers learned unknown suspects fired several shots from a black vehicle toward a vehicle occupied by the victims.  The suspect vehicle left the scene in an unknown direction of travel.  Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the police department at 618-457-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 618-549-COPS.  The investigation into the incident is active and ongoing.
