[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm Investigation

On 07-21-2020, at approximately 2:10 a.m., City of Carbondale Police Officers responded to the 700 block of South Lewis Lane in reference to a report of a shot fired.   Officers learned a disturbance occurred at a residence during a social gathering amongst acquaintances.   While attending the gathering, the suspect, Samuel T. White age 31, damaged property and battered two people.   An unknown black male, accompanying White, fired a single shot in the air.   White and the other suspect left in a vehicle, possibly a white Dodge Caravan.  There were no reported injuries as a result of the gunshot.  Anyone with information on the whereabouts of White or about the incident is encouraged to contact the police department at 618-457-3200.  This investigation into the incident is active and ongoing.
