CARBONDALE – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced another two-day road closure in downtown Carbondale for railroad crossing repairs. According to IDOT, beginning Tuesday, June 9 at 7:00 a.m., IL 13 (E. Main St) will be closed at the CN/IC railroad crossing east of the intersection of Main Street and N. Illinois Avenue.
The work will conclude on Wednesday, June 10 at 6:00 p.m. There will be no traffic permitted through the crossing during the repairs. IDOT asks that drivers avoid the work area and use marked detour routes.
