[ARCHIVED] Residential Burglary & Criminal Trespass to Residence

On 05-21-20 at approximately 11:03 p.m., City of Carbondale Police Officers responded to the 500 block of S. Forest St. regarding a residential burglary in progress. Officers found an unknown suspect forced entry into a residence and numerous items had been removed from the house. The suspect was gone on arrival.  At approximately 11:53 p.m., Carbondale Police Officers responded to a Criminal Trespass at a residence in the 700 block of S. Forest. An unknown subject walked into the house without permission.   Officers found the suspect fleeing the second residence and later located him hiding nearby and arrested him. The suspect was identified as, Troy Johnson 56 years old of Carbondale. Johnson was charged with Residential Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property and Criminal Trespass to Residence. Johnson was incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail.
