[ARCHIVED] Unlawful Use of Weapons

On 03-18-2020 at approximately 7:17 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of South Illinois Avenue in reference to a report of an unlawful use of weapons. Upon arrival, officers were advised a male on a bicycle was confronted by two unknown white males in a red car on West Cherry Street somewhere between the 300 and 500 blocks. One of the males exited the front passenger seat area of the car, displayed a handgun, and threatened to harm the male on the bicycle. The male on the bicycle fled from the suspects. The suspects drove away from the area south bound. No shots were fired and no injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
