The City of Carbondale is announcing a $2,500 reward to anyone offering information leading to the arrest of homicide suspect Olando Sheron. On 11-03-19, the City of Carbondale Police Department initiated a homicide investigation following the shooting death of Keon Lavonte Cooper in the 500 block of South Illinois Avenue. Thomas Evans Jr., Tyren Johnson and Olando Sheron were developed as suspects in the homicide. Evans Jr. and Johnson are in custody. Sheron has eluded capture and is wanted on a nationwide homicide warrant. He is considered armed and dangerous. If you encounter Sheron do not approach him, and instead call your local law enforcement agency. Anyone with information about Sheron’s whereabouts is asked to call the Carbondale Police Department. If the information you provide leads to the arrest of Sheron you may qualify for up to a $2,500 reward.
