On 08-25-19 at approximately 4:21 p.m., Carbondale Police Officers responded to the 600 block of East College Street in reference to an Armed Robbery. Two victims reported four suspects approached them and one of them displayed a handgun. The armed suspect took property from one of the victims and all of the suspects subsequently fled on foot from the area. The investigation into this incident has led to the identity of one of the suspects, Quantez McGee, 18 years old of Carbondale. Carbondale Police detectives obtained an arrest warrant for McGee on charges of Armed Robbery and arrested him on 08-28-19. There were no injuries as a result of this incident. McGee is incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail. Two of the three additional suspects are described as black males. One was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and multi-color shorts and the second was last swearing a black sweatshirt with a hood. He was also described as having a long, dreadlock hairstyle. This investigation is currently active and ongoing.
