The Carbondale Fire Department will continue hydrant flushing on Wednesday, May 8. Crews will be working weekdays from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Hydrant flushing will occur at the following intersections:
- Hydrants throughout the west side of Carbondale that were not done initially
- Between Washington Street and Wall Street at East College Street going north
- Area of Reed Station and Sweets Corner (south of Route 13)
Residents may notice a change in water pressure and possible discoloration. The water is safe to drink. However, if your water is discolored, wait a few hours before doing laundry. If you have water related questions, call (618) 529-1731.
