On 10-29-2018 at approximately 5:00 p.m. Carbondale Police Officers responded to a report of a bank robbery in progress at the First Mid-Illinois Bank inside Schnuck’s, located at 915 West Main Street.  The suspect entered the bank and indicated to the tellers that he was committing a robbery.  The suspect took money from the bank and left on foot.  Officers immediately located the suspect, identified as Darryll L. Hendricks, 36 of Carbondale, outside the business with the stolen money in his possession.  Officers placed Hendricks in custody without incident.  Hendricks was arrested for Aggravated Robbery and incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail. No injuries were reported during this incident.
