Free Notary Service
The City Clerk's Office provides free notary service on most documents. Notaries available in the City Clerk's Office are not licensed attorneys and may not give legal advice.

Police Department
The Police Department is responsible for the enforcement of all laws and ordinances of the State of Illinois and the City of Carbondale.

Streets & Storm Water Maintenance
The Street Department keeps roads safe in any type of weather, monitors street conditions and removes dirt and debris from the roadways.

Voter Registration Information
In addition to the City Clerk's Office, you may register to vote or submit change of address forms at the Jackson County Clerk's Office and the Carbondale Secretary of State Office.

Waste Collection, Recycling, Clean & Green
Provides weekly refuse collection and curbside recycling services to residents, operates three drop-off recycling locations and year round landscape waste, white goods and used tire collections via a pay per use sticker program.

Operates the Northwest and Southeast Wastewater Treatment Plants, provides water quality reports and supplies the City with fresh water.
