The Police Pension Fund Board of Trustees is responsible for:

  • Controlling and managing the pension fund
  • Enforcing contributions
  • Making rules necessary for the discharge of the Board's duties
  • Paying expenses


  • 5 members of which:
    • One elected by the beneficiaries under the Police Pension Fund Act of the State of Illinois
    • Two appointed by the Mayor
    • Two elected by the Carbondale Police Department
