CARBONDALE – Carbondale Food & Fashion Week will kick off on Tuesday, April 23 with a special showing of "Kinky Boots" at Shryock Auditorium.
An opening reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. with remarks by Carbondale Mayor John "Mike" Henry as well as other city and university leaders.
"Kinky Boots" tells the story about a man who reluctantly inherits a family business. However, he encounters an individual who changes his mind about business and life. Admission to "Kinky Boots" is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Carbondale Food & Fashion Week highlights Southern Illinois University's Hospitality and Tourism Administration, and Advertising Programs and celebrates the university’s 150th anniversary.
